Zoltan Kiss Obesity Research
A Family Company
CanCureLaboratories (CCL) is a sole proprietorship that has been doing research and product development in two major biotechnological areas, namely:
In Project 1, recombinant and highly purified forms of a non-toxic human protein (CCLPr) with 10 days of half-life time in the human circulation have been tested on various physiological disorders in appropriate mouse models with excellent results. The centrally important and original findings include the ability of CCLPr to normalize excess visceral (abdominal) and subcutaneous fat depots in suitable (normal weight, obese) mouse models as well as helping to maintain skeletal muscle in various cachectic conditions (aging, obesity, cancer) mice subjected to, both effects impacting other disorders as well. Presently, no efficient and safe drugs are available in the clinical practice for the efficient treatments of excess visceral fat and muscle loss.
In Project 2, the company has developed an anti-cancer drug (CCL28) which both alone and particularly together with cisplatin strongly reduces the size of gynecological tumors in appropriate mouse tumor models. Adding the anti-cachectic CCLPr to the mix further enhances the effects of such combined treatments.
Both projects are protected by patent filings.
CCL now wish to offer both projects for either further development by a financially stronger company, or develop the most promising projects through a human phase 1 trial(s) relying on external help.
